I want to sincerely wish all mothers out there a Happy Mother’s Day! To celebrate this special day, this dish is adapted straight from my mom’s kitchen. Growing up, I’ve sure I’ve given Mama Cheung a fair share of stress. I never knew how to appreciate all of the things she did for us. Among many other things, she always made sure there was delicious food on the table. Even after a long day of work, she would still do her best to come up with a new dish for us to try. This is where I got my passion for cooking from after all. My mom really is my first and most important inspiration. Thank you, mom.
I learned from my mom to keep the shell on for extra flavor. As you can see I peeled half of the shrimp before I remembered. Fail!
Garlic Shrimp is a great idea for a quick fix meal. Serve it on some white rice and you’ve got yourself a real winner. Of course, I had to add the chili in there but feel free to skip it, it will be just as good. Intense garlic flavor, freshness from the cilantro, fragrance from the ginger and heat from the chili. You must give this a go!
