Ingredients
  • 5pounds of Beef Ribs(flanken cut) – recipe note 1
  • 1tablespoon of Oil(any high smoke point oil)
  • 2whole Scallions(garnish – finely chopped)
For the Marinade
  • 3/4cup of Soy Sauce
  • 3/4cup of Brown Sugar
  • 1tablespoon of Sesame Oil
  • 1tablespoon of Mirin
  • 1teaspoon of Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1cup of Water
  • 1tablespoon of Black Pepper
  • 1whole Bird’s Eye Chili(optional – finely chopped)
  • 1whole White Onion(grated)
  • 1/2 Asian Pear(peeled and grated)
  • 1tablespoon of Ginger(grated)
  • 5cloves of Garlic(grated)
  • 2tablespoons of Toasted Sesame Seeds(reserve half for garnish)
Instructions
  1. Combine the marinade ingredients together into a mixing bowl and marinade Beef Ribs overnight covered.
  2. Remove from marinade and let come to room temperature.
  3. Cook on high heat in a large pan or on the grill for 2-3 minutes a side. Garnish with more Toasted Sesame Seeds and Scallions and serve up!
