Ingredients
For the Tuna Fish Cakes
  • 240grams of Tuna(or about 2 cans – lightly drained and flaked)
  • 2cloves of Garlic(finely chopped)
  • 2-3sprigs of Cilantro(finely chopped)
  • 2-3sprigs of Thyme(leaves – finely chopped)
  • 2tablespoons of Panko Crumbs
  • 1 Chili(finely chopped)
  • 1/4 Red Onion(finely chopped)
  • 1 Spring Onion(finely chopped)
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1teaspoon of Smoked Paprika
  • 1pinch of Salt(to taste)
  • 1pinch of Black Pepper(to taste)
  • Olive Oil
For the Lime Yogurt Sauce
  • 4tablespoons of Yogurt(plain)
  • 1teaspoon of Honey
  • 1zest of Lime
  • 1/2juice of Lime
  • 1pinch of Smoked Paprika
  • 1pinch of Salt(to taste)
  • 1pinch of Black Pepper(to taste)
Instructions
  1. Mix together ingredients for the Lime Yogurt sauce and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, thorough combine flaked Tuna, chopped Garlic, Cilantro, Thyme, Panko Crumbs, Chili, Red Onion, Spring Onion, Eggs, Smoked Paprika, and a dash of Olive Oil. Add Salt and Black Pepper to taste.
  3. Roll around in your hands to form balls slightly smaller than golf balls then flatten. This should make 8 cakes. Adjust the patty size as desired.
  4. Heat Olive Oil in on a medium high heat and pan fry for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes on each side, flipping once. Be gentle when flipping because they are quite delicate. Cook for longer if the patties are made thicker. And you’re all set to eat!!
