Cook Time
  • 8-12 Chicken Drumsticks(depends on size of Chicken and your pot)
  • 1/2cup of Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/3cup of Soy Sauce
  • 1cup of Water
  • 3tablespoons of Brown Sugar
  • 1whole Chili(halved – I used Bird’s Eye Chili)
  • 1stick of Cinnamon(halved)
  • 2cloves of Garlic(crushed)
  • 1/2teaspoon of Nutmeg(grated)
  • 1teaspoon of Black Pepper
  • 2stems of Green Onions(chopped – optional garnish)
  1. Mix everything except for the Chicken Drumsticks into a large, wide pot. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  2. Add the Chicken Drumsticks on a single layer and flip to coat. Lower the heat to a simmer (medium low) and cover for 15 minutes.
  3. Uncover and gently flip to coat the other side. Cover and let simmer for another 15 minutes. The Chicken should be cooked after the 30 minutes total. Remove and test the thickest piece. If uncooked, place back into the pot and simmer for additional time.
  4. Remove the Chicken once done. Uncover and turn the heat to high. Let boil for 5-10 minutes to reduce and concentrate sauce. Carefully watch it at this time as the sauce could overcooked and become too thick!
  5. Pour sauce over Chicken and garnish with Green Onions to serve.
