Cozy up with this rustic Chorizo Penne Rigate! It’s warm, comforting, and oh-so-satisfying, especially during these long winter nights. Let’s ditch the bottled pasta sauce and make it from scratch. It’s super easy!
Even though the weather hasn’t been too harsh lately, living in Toronto means that we have to live by House Stark’s motto~: “Winter is coming”. Sometimes, you just need a big ol’ bowl of hearty PASTA to bring you some much-needed warmth, you know? When it gets dark at 4 pm, this pasta will be like a ray of sunshine on a plate.. in your belly, which is arguably even better. 😉
This was the lovely view from two weeks ago. Yes, white Christmas was very festive, but:
..boy did we need a pasta dish like this to warm us up. Packed with spices, bold flavors, and nutritious ingredients to wake up our senses. We totally missed #NationalSpaghettiDay yesterday but this penne makes a fine substitute!
Believe me, you’re not going to want to use the pre-made sauce again! This Chorizo Penne Rigate brings a feeling of comfort that is hard to beat. I suppose you could sit in front of a warm camp fire under the moonlight, roasting marshmallows and eating them right off the stick. Okay, that might be better, but eating this pasta dish around a fireplace or with the heat on comes close 🙂
